my job is ok, but I really love my research – I dream that one day I will be able to research and teach as a job but unfortunately it’s not that simple
I do! I love doing my PhD. I like the flexibility of my hours, so I get to choose when I work. However, this means I have to be very organised and manage my time properly. I am also passionate about my research and although the PhD experience is a difficult one, I really enjoy it. I also lecture students in university as well, and I find that very fulfilling too. Combination of research and teaching keeps me busy 🙂
I LOVE my job! Every day is different and I find it very rewarding being able to help patients get better. Growing up, I thought the only jobs that could do that were doctors and nurses. I do speak to some of the doctors who I work with and get to know case studies of the patients they are treating. I think I have the best of both worlds.
Yes, usually. There are days when I’d rather be at home or doing a different test because I’m just not in the mood but for the most part I enjoy my work.
It can be quite a rewarding job when you hear from patients about how drugs you’ve helped manufacture really make a difference to their lives.
I do also work with a great bunch of people, our department was actually designated the happiest on site 😂
I love my job, I love working with students as you ask all the questions that I don’t know the answers to and it helps me to grow as a scientist as I’m constantly learning as well. The only time I don’t like my job is when students get upset which happens quite frequently around exam period 🙁
