Not really, although I do get the chance to go to conferences and seminars. I’m going to London this week to meet with other users of molecular technology to see what new assays are coming on the market.

My specific role, QC Analyst, doesn’t involve much but there are quite a few roles in the Quality department that do.
Our Quality systems associates and Quality assurance associates often travel to different companies who supply us with materials to perform audits and make sure they are meeting our criteria for manufacturing.

Not really, my work involves travelling only for attending some conference events. This is not directly related of my research but as part of out reach activities (sharing knowledge of my research to other scientists, government, or public)

I currently do travel around the West Midlands to collect information and data from participants. Every once in a while I may have to travel either within the UK or internationally to present my findings (last place I went to was Boston, USA to present my findings). It’s quite common for academics/scientists to travel all over the world.
