As a child I was really interested in Louis Pasteur, he made great advances in the discovery of the principals behind vaccination and pasteurisation. I remember writing an essay about him in school and being really impressed by the fact that he started life as the poor son of a tanner who was not very academic and yet became known as the father of modern microbiology.
I’ve since learned about other early scientists by reading a book called ‘Electrified sheep,’ you should give it a try 🙂
Early scientists really fascinate me because everything they discovered was new, a lot of it by accident, and mostly through experimentation.

My job isn’t really about campaigning to be honest.

I manage a project at the minute that is recruiting STEM ambassadors from the mineral products and extractives industry (mining, quarrying, and processing the results). I have now managed to recruit 200 ambassadors and they have engaged in STEM education for well over 2600 young people!

I never have any campaign. I would love to do campaign related to pollution or environmental protection but still have no idea how to do it. Hopefully in the future!
