I really enjoyed science. However, up until the age of 17, I wanted to be a vet. I wasn’t getting good enough grades in my modular Chemistry A-level at the end of the first year so I decided to pursue a scientific career instead. I loved doing experiments and designing projects. I wanted to do a career that would allow me to do that. I didn’t want an office job. That is why I became a scientist.
